The sign of a good expectation word, is that you can describe what it looks like or sounds like in observable terms.  The expectations are to be used School-wide, meaning throughout all school settings (classroom as well as non-classroom).

While character or leadership words can be good to use, they cannot often be described in concrete, observable terms so that students (and staff) can demonstrate them.

Remember the "Bathroom Litmus Test" - if you can describe what it looks like in the bathroom, then it's a good word to use!
